Introducing Original Outlaw Bartender:
Gina Lopez
Original Outlaw
Bartender at Re-Bar
Las Vegas, Nevada
Originally from Albuquerque, NM, Gina Lopez is our newest Original Outlaw Bartender.
Why Las Vegas?
I moved to Las Vegas April 2017. I was first inspired to be a bartender when I was abroad in Peru. I was so motivated to achieve this newly set goal that when I got back to the States my first thought was “go big or go home” and so I decided to move to Vegas!
Sounds like quite an adventure, how are things going?
There is so much growth here and opportunity to learn from the best industry people ever! I haven’t looked back yet. I love it!
Where are you bartending now?
I currently bartend at local antique bar called ReBar (The only bar where everything is for sale!) and tend to find side gigs like concerts, banquets, and whatever else gets thrown my way.
Have you ever broken the law?
Yes I have broken the law but nothing too crazy!
What would be the worst thing for the government to make illegal?
One of the worst things that the government could make illegal is obviously alcohol, however I would definitely enjoy the hype of real speakeasies.
What was your favorite TV show when growing up?
One of my favorite shows growing up was “That’s So Raven”, because it was really funny!
Which is your favorite? Sunora Bacanora Blanco, Sunora Cream De Bacanora Mocha, or Sunora Cream De Bacanora Pineapple Colada?
I love all the products however I like the challenge that Sunora Bacanora Blanco has because not everyone is familiar with this spirit so it’s great when you can introduce something new.
An elegant cocktail with a hint of heat, “The Deception” was created by Gina Lopez as her entry in the Inaugural Sunora Bacanora Mixology Competition 2018.

- 1½ oz. Sunora Bacanora Blanco

- ½ oz. Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
- ½ oz. Water
